Remote work - mouse

The Logitech MX Master 3S wireless mouse is designed for comfort. It does ultra-fast scrolling (which is a mixed blessing sometimes) and works on all surfaces I’ve tested it on (even glass). It can connect to up to three devices via Bluetooth NO dongle needed! Really, I cannot express how important this is for ease of remote work - one less thing to lose and frees up a slot on your laptop.

In theory, you should be able to download an app and seamlessly go across devices (mac to ipad, etc) and not ‘switch’ on the mouse. BUT if you have a word device and they control things, this won’t be a function you are likely to enjoy. You can manually switch between them with a press of a button on the bottom. This is rechargeable - so no battery needed. The battery has a surprisingly long life and I only have to recharge it every couple months - it does work while plugged in to charge too.

Due to it being ergonomic, it is a bit bulkier, but having had numerous ergonomic mouse (mice?), this is the most comfortable one I’ve used. It is on the more expensive side, but I’ve seen it on sale too.
